Honoring the Legacy.
Building the Future.
Legacy Limestone Quarries of Indiana was formed following the acquisition of a limestone property in Bedford, Indiana, within the historic Indiana Limestone Belt. While quarry operations are not yet underway, our team is in the early planning and evaluation phase, focused on responsible preparation and long-term stewardship.
Indiana limestone has helped shape some of the nation’s most enduring architecture and has defined the identity of southern Indiana for generations. We approach this opportunity with deep respect for the material, the land, and the communities and professionals who have built the industry over more than a century.
Our ownership group brings decades of combined experience across quarrying, fabrication, and stone supply throughout North America. That experience informs a careful approach centered on:
Safety and responsible operations
Environmental awareness and land stewardship
Respect for industry standards and best practices
Long-term resource management
Constructive engagement with the broader stone community
At this stage, our priority is listening, learning, and planning thoughtfully. We believe the future of Indiana limestone depends on collaboration, shared knowledge, and a commitment to doing things the right way.
As plans develop, we look forward to maintaining open dialogue with community members, industry peers, and partners who share an interest in the responsible future of Indiana limestone.
